Who we are
This policy is issued by Alchetex (“Alchetex”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operator of this website at alchetex.com. [Full registered company name, company number, and registered address to be added once incorporation is complete.] You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@alchetex.com.
What this policy covers
This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website and when you contact us by email, why we process it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to alchetex.com and any email correspondence with hello@alchetex.com.
Information we collect
Website analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how this site is used. It does not use cookies, cannot identify you personally, and only stores anonymised, aggregated statistics such as page views and referrers. Session data is automatically discarded after 24 hours.
Information you send us directly. If you contact us — including via the Contact or Submit CV links on this site, which open your own email client — we receive whatever personal data is contained in that email. This typically includes your name, email address, and any content or attachments you choose to send us, such as a CV or covering note.
CVs and job applications. Any CV or application material you send us via the Submit CV link is used solely to assess your suitability for open roles at Alchetex. We do not use it for any other purpose, and it is not shared with any third party.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tools on this site.
Why we process this data
- Analytics: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving this website, using data that cannot identify you.
- General enquiries: our legitimate interest in responding to you, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- Job applications: taking steps you request prior to entering into an employment contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting effectively.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and do not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes:
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — website hosting and analytics.
- IONOS — domain registration, DNS, and email hosting.
CVs and job application materials are reviewed only by Alchetex team members directly involved in the relevant hiring decision. They are never sold, shared with, or disclosed to any third party, except where we are required to do so by law.
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA (for example, to Vercel in the United States), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent recognised safeguard.
How long we keep it
General enquiry emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and for our records, typically no more than 24 months.
CVs and job application materials are used only for the recruitment process you applied to. If you are successful, your CV and related application material become part of your employment record. If your application is unsuccessful, we retain your CV for up to 6 months after that hiring process concludes, solely so we can demonstrate a fair and consistent recruitment process if ever challenged, after which it is permanently deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time by emailing hello@alchetex.com.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Our analytics tool is cookieless by design. If that changes in future, we will update this notice and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion of it, restrict or object to our processing of it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis for processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@alchetex.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you are based in the EU, your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Alchetex grows. The most current version will always be available at alchetex.com/privacy.html, with the date at the top of this page reflecting the last update.
